Kalpataru Power Transmission is trading higher by 3% to Rs 84.80 after the company said it has secured new orders worth of Rs 660 crore from international and local clients.

“The company has received contract worth of Rs 380 crore for 765 kv Gwalior-Jaipur transmission line of 162 kms from PGCIL,” Kalpataru Power said in a filing.

The company has secured another project around Rs 280 from Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) for 500 kv DC line of around 167 kms. The project is secured under consortium arrangement with M/s CHS, Thailand and the company is the lead partner.

The stock opened at Rs 84 and hit a high of Rs 85.45 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. A combined 475,982 shares have changed hands on the counter so far.
