Keep Coal, Tea, Textiles, Sugar Out Of Essential Commodities Act: Ficci

Products like coal, tea, textiles, sugar, milk and milk products and fertilisers should be kept outside the purview of Essential Commodities Act (ECA) as several items among them are of no direct interest to the common man or the country has already become self-sufficient in them on a sustained basis, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) said.
