Markets firm; Nifty up over 200pts

The NSE Nifty is up 214 points at 4,454.

ICICI Bank has zoomed 11.5% to Rs 737. Reliance Communications has soared 11% to Rs 520, and BHEL has surged 10.5% to Rs 1,765.

Reliance Infrastructure has rallied nearly 10% to Rs 1,009.

DLF, HDFC Bank and HDFC have moved up around 8.5% each to Rs 493, Rs 1,193 and Rs 2,325, respectively.

SBI has gained 7.7% at Rs 1,505. Tata Steel has advanced over 6% to Rs 663.

Larsen & Toubro and Tata Motors have added 5.5% each to Rs 2,716 and Rs 435, respectively. Jaiprakash Associates is up over 4% at Rs 166.

Out of 2,627 stocks traded so far, 2,182 have advanced, 401 have declined and 44 are unchanged.
