Mid, small IT stocks rally; Intellect Design, Tanla Solutions soar 20%

Smartlink Network, Trigen Technologies, D-Link, Aurionpro Solutions, Allied Digital and Polaris were up 10%-20%

Shares of mid-sized and small information technology (IT) and its related companies have rallied by up to 20% on the BSE in intra-day trade on back of heavy volumes.

Aurionpro Solutions, Intellect Design Arena, Tanla Solutions, Smartlink Network Systems, Trigen Technologies, Majesco, Polaris Consulting & Services, Rolta India, D-Link (India), R S Software, Allsec Technologies, Hinduja Global Solutions, HOV Services and Take Solutions were up between 5% and 20% on the BSE.

At 02:58 am; S&P BSE Information Technology index was up 0.62% as compared to 0.29% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex.

Among the individual stocks, Intellect Design Arena has soared 20% to Rs 174 on the BSE in intra-day trade, on back of an over 10-fold jump in trading volumes. A combined 4.88 million shares have changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE so far.
