NDTV spurts on Turner's acquisition plan

The scrip zoomed to a high of Rs 153 and finally settled at Rs 151, up around 8% from its previous close. The counter has clocked volumes of 541,401 shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 157,172 shares on the BSE.

NDTV is up on Turner International's plans of acquiring a controlling stake in NDTV Imagine.

The stock has opened at Rs 145 and is now at Rs 144, up 3% from its previous close.The counter has clocked volumes of 39,159 shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 157,172 shares on the BSE.

NDTV Network, the holding company for the group’s entertainment and lifestyle channels, holds 72.5% in NDTV Imagine, and employees hold another 20%. Film director Karan Johar owns 5% and the rest is distributed among a few others.
