 "Refined soya oil up 0.7% as demand picks up")
Refined soya oil prices rose by 0.77% to Rs 730.55 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in November rose by Rs 5.50, or 0.77%, to Rs 730.55 per 10 kg with an open interest of 90,170 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in December edged higher by Rs 2.65, or 0.37%, to Rs 725.20 per 10 kg in 98,270 lots.
Analysts said speculators created fresh positions on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market against limited arrivals from producing regions mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
