Sandur Manganese soars on eight-fold jump in Q2 profit

The stock has surged 13% to Rs 685 on BSE post Q2 earnings.

Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores has soared 13% to Rs 685 on BSE after reporting nearly eight-fold jump in net profit at Rs 13.13 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013 (Q2), due to higher realization. The mining company had profit of Rs 1.68 crore in a year ago quarter.

During the quarter under review, the company’s net sales rose almost three-fold at Rs 79.70 crore against Rs 28.86 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

The stock opened at Rs 611 and has seen around 30,000 shares changing hands on the counter so far on BSE.
