“The board of directors of the company will meet on January 20, 2014, consider a proposal for payment of a special dividend,” Sasken Communication Technologies said in a statement.
The company has fixed January 25, 2014 as the record date for the purpose of payment of special dividend.
The board will also consider the audited financial results of the company for the quarter ended December 31, 2013, it added.
Earlier, on October 28, 2013, the company had paid interim dividend of Rs 5 per share of Rs 10 each (50%), including a special dividend of Rs 2.5 per share in celebration of its 25th year since incorporation.
Meanwhile, IT consulting and software firm had posted 117% year-on-year jumped in consolidated net profit at Rs 31.28 crore for the first half ended September 2013 on back of higher other income.
The stock opened at Rs 184 and hit a high of Rs 188 on the BSE. A combined 146,858 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on the BSE and NSE.
