Sensex down 207pts; Wipro slips 4%
The Sensex is now down 207 points at 13,485.
Wipro has slumped over 4% to Rs 355. Ranbaxy and Bharti Airtel have plunged over 3% each to Rs 301 and Rs 785, respectively.
Hindalco, ICICI Bank and Satyam have tumbled nearly 3% each to Rs 106, Rs 583 and Rs 325, respectively.
TCS has shed 2.5% at Rs 696. DLF, Reliance and BHEL have slipped over 2% each to Rs 392, Rs 2,002 and Rs 1,630, respectively.
NTPC, Tata Motors and Reliance Infrastructure have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 175, Rs 381 and Rs 873, respectively.
ITC, SBI and ONGC are down around 1.5% each at Rs 190, Rs 1,498 and Rs 1,048, respectively.
Out of 2,544 stocks traded so far, 1,639 have declined, 818 have advanced and 87 are unchanged.
