Sensex down 287pts; Bharti Airtel down 4%

The Sensex is now down 287 points at 14,374.

Tata Motors is the only gainer in the Sensex. It has gained 0.8% at Rs 422.

Bharti Airtel has tumbled 4% to Rs 788. Reliance Infrastructure has slumped over 3.8% to Rs 995.

Reliance has lost 3.7% to Rs 2007.

ONGC and ICICI Bank have plunged over 3.4% each to Rs 1,039 and Rs 677, respectively.

DLF and Jaiprakash Associates have shed over 3% each at Rs 485 and Rs 162, respectively.

Out of 2,583 stocks traded so far, 1,772 have declined, 734 have advanced and 77  are unchanged.
