The Sensex after opening 33 points lower at 10,305, slipped to a low of 10,116 - down 222 points - in early trades. However, the index has now recovered partially and is now down 32 points at 10,305.
Satyam has slumped 6% to Rs 282. Tata Motors has tumbled 5.8% to Rs 180.
Wipro and Sterlite have pluned around 4% each to Rs 265 and Rs 284, respectively. Mahindra & Mahindra has shed 3.7% at Rs 370.
Infosys and HDFC have slipped around 3% each to Rs 1,335 and Rs 1,835, respectively.
ACC and Reliance Infrastructure have dropped 2.8% each to Rs 498 and Rs 521, respectively. TCS has declnied 2.5% to Rs 535.
Reliance and Bharti Airtel are down around 2% each at Rs 1,407 and Rs 675, respectively.
Ranbaxy has soard 6.5% to Rs 203, and ONGC has surged over 5% to Rs 748.
Tata Steel and SBI have gained 2.5% each at Rs 231 and Rs 1,271, respectively.
ITC has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 162. ICICI Bank and Tata Power have added 1.5% each to Rs 437 and Rs 703, respectively.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,155 stocks traded so far, 1,225 have advanced, 866 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
