Sensex ends down 209pts at 11,667

The Sensex started the day with gains of around 121 points at 11,997. After sometime, the index started slipping and it enterred the negative zone owing to heavy selling in the realty stocks. It reached a low of 11,621, down 406 points from the day's high.

Thereafter the index exhibited sideward movement. The Sensex finally ended (provisionsal) at 11,667, down 209 points.
