Sensex off day's low; Infosys, Wipro slip

The Sensex has recovered partially and is now trading at 15,409, down 57 points.

Infosys has slumped 3.5% to Rs 1,742. Wipro and ONGC have slipped 3% each to Rs 432 and Rs 1,165, respectively. ACC has shed 2.5% to Rs 875.

BHEL, Jaiprakash Associates, SBI and Tata Power have declined 2% each. Maruti Suzuki, Larsen & Toubro, DLF, TCS and Reliance Infrastructure are down over 1% each.

On the other hand, Tata Steel has gained 4% at Rs 457. Ranbaxy has added 3% to Rs 307. HDFC Bank, Sterlite, Bharti Airtel and NTPC have advanced 2.5% each.

ITC, Reliance Communications, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors and Sun Pharma have moved up around 1% each.

The market breadth is fairly negative. Out of 2,319 stocks traded, 1,466 have declined while 789 have advanced.
