The Sensex has moved back to higher levels and is now up 518 points at 10,306.
Reliance Infrastructure has zoomed 15% to Rs 525. DLF has soared over 14% to Rs 252.
SBI has surged 11.5% to Rs 1,237, and Tata Motors has rallied nearly 11% to Rs 191.
Larsen & Toubro has gained 10% at Rs 886. Jaiprakash Associates and Ranbaxy have moved up 9.5% each to Rs 79 and Rs 185, respectively.
HDFC has advanced 9% to Rs 1,925, and ICICI Bank has added 8.5% to Rs 434.
Tata Steel is up 8% at Rs 227. Grasim, Maruti, NTPC and Hindalco are the other major gainers.
Satyam has slipped nearly 2.5% to Rs 298.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,614 stocks traded, 1,910 have advanced, 641 have declined and 63 are unchanged.
