Sensex up 200pts led by Infosys, TCS

The Sensex opened 137 points higher at 9,208, and soon touched a high of 9,279. The index is now up 193 points at 9,265.

TCS and Infosys have surged 4% each to Rs 544 and Rs 1,279, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates has moved up 3.7% to Rs 69. Reliance and ICICI Bank have gained 3.5% each at Rs 1,118 and Rs 441, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Communications have rallied over 3% each to Rs 492 and Rs 173, respectively.

Hindalco and HDFC Bank have advanced 3% each to Rs 50 and Rs 1,018.

Tata Steel and DLF are up 2.7% each at Rs 208 and Rs 211, respectively.

Sun Pharma has slipped 1.7% to Rs 1,116, and NTPC has declined 1% to Rs 166.
