Sensex up 50pts; breadth extremely +ve

The Sensex is now up 50 points at 14,707.

The NSE Nifty is up 16 points at 4,429.

ACC and Satyam have surged 2.7% each to Rs 592 and Rs 402, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied over 2% each to Rs 656 and Rs 1,030, respectively.

Maruti and Infosys have gained 1.8% each at Rs 571 and Rs 1,670, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates, Tata Power and SBI are up around 1.5% each at Rs 444, Rs 173, Rs 1,133 and Rs 1,521, respectively.

TCS has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 824. HDFC has shed 1.7% at Rs 2,361, and Reliance has dropped 1.5% to Rs 2,265.

Sterlite is down over 1% at Rs 626.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,287 stocks traded so far, 1,640 have advanced, 575 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
