Sensex up marginally; Satyam, Wipro tumble

The NSE Nifty is up six points at 3,953.

ICICI Bank has soared 6.5% to Rs 587, and HDFC Bank has surged 4.5% to Rs 1,001. HDFC has gained 4% at Rs 1,965.

Reliance Infrastructure has moved up 2.5% to Rs 828. BHEL and Jaiprakash Associates have rallied over 2% each to Rs 1,483 and Rs 152, respectively.

Cipla and SBI have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 216 and Rs 1,250, respectively.

ITC has gained 1.3% at Rs 170. Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, ONGC and DLF are up around 1% each at Rs 520, Rs 416, Rs 913 and Rs 431, respectively.

Wipro has plunged 4.7% to Rs 362, and Satyam has tumbled 4.5% to Rs 396.

Tata Steel has shed 2.5% at Rs 592. Ranbaxy has slipped over 2% to Rs 442.

TCS and Infosys have dropped 1.8% each to Rs 764 and Rs 1,555, respectively.

ACC and Maruti are down 1.3% each at Rs 532 and Rs 592, respectively.
