Siemens gains after securing order worth Rs 102 crore

Shares of Siemens have nearly gained 1% to Rs 1158.80 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after it won an order worth Rs 102 crore for Power Transmission system in West Bengal.

The scope of the order includes manufacturing of 400kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation to West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company, the company said in a filing to the BSE. The GIS will be manufactured at Siemens’ Aurangabad plant.

The stock touched a high of Rs 1170 in the morning trades. A combined total of 84,134 shares changed hands on the counter of NSE and BSE.
