Silver falls 0.32% on weak global cues

The metal declined 0.5% to $30.29 an ounce in Asia

Silver prices drifted by Rs 191 to Rs 58,782 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded their positions, tracking a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December fell by Rs 191, or 0.32%, to Rs 58,782 per kg, with a business turnover of 4,220 lots.

September silver moved down by Rs 173, or 0.30%, to Rs 56,780 per kg, with an open interest of 6,034 lots.

Marketmen attributed the fall in silver futures to a weak global trend.

Meanwhile, silver declined 0.5% to $30.29 an ounce in the Asian region.
