Silver traded a shade higher at Rs 45,635 per kg in futures trade today largely in tandem with a rising trend in precious metals in the global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the September contract traded higher by Rs 52, or 0.11%, to Rs 45,635 per kg in a business turnover of 31 lots.
The July contract traded at Rs 46, or 0.10%, higher at Rs 44,907 per kg in a turnover of 1,018 lots.
Analysts said a firming trend in precious metals in the global market on rising physical demand in China, influenced silver prices at futures trade here.
