Sugar declines on weak demand
Sugar prices declined moderately at the Vashi Wholesale market here today due to lower offtake from retailers amidst adequate stock positions.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) slipped by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,862/2,951 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 2,872/ 2,951.
Small sugar quality (S-30) also fell by a similar margin to Rs 2,836/2,871 per quintal as compared to Rs 2,836/2,881 yesterday.
