Sugar drifts on ample supply

Sugar prices slipped at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to adequate stock positions coupled with reduced stockists buying.

Small sugar quality (S-30) fell by Rs 5/10 per quintal to Rs 2,625/2,670 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 2,630/ 2,680.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) also moved dowm by Rs five per quintal to Rs 2,665/2,770, as against Rs 2,670/2,770 yesterday.
