Sugar weakens on sluggish demand
Sugar prices declined moderately at the Vashi Wholesale market here today due to subdued offtake from stockists amidst ample supply positions.
Small sugar quality (S-30) slipped by Rs 6/10 per quintal to Rs 2,801/2,845 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,811/2,851.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) also moved down by Rs 5/7 per quintal to Rs 2,846/2,916 as against Rs 2,853/2,921 yesterday.
