 "Suven Life Science rallies on securing five product patents")
Suven Life Science has rallied 6% to Rs 223 on BSE after the company announced that it has secured five product patents from four countries corresponding to the new chemical entities (NCEs).
“The grant of two product patents from Israel and one each from Japan, China and New Zealand corresponding to the New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for the treatment of disorders associated with Neurodegenerative diseases,” Suven Life Science said in a news release.
The company said, the granted claims of the patents include the class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by Suven and are being developed as therapeutic agents and are useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Attention deficient hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Huntington’s disease, Parkinson and Schizophrenia.
With these new patents, Suven has a total of two granted patents from Israel, 11 granted patents from Japan, 15 product patents from China and 21 product patents from New Zealand, it added.
The stock opened at Rs 211 and hit a high of Rs 225 on BSE. A combined 925,875 shares changed hands on the counter till 1056 hours on BSE and NSE.
