US-based Trading and Investment Educational Institute, specialising in educating people interested in learning how to trade in the financial markets will launch its online programmes in India this March.

"Electronic age is allowing people to trade. But trading involves risk and we have realised that there is a void in the Indian system with regard to financial markets training. We would train people in how to trade in options, futures, and stocks," said Lakshmi Gangatkar, Administrative Director, Trading and Investment Educational Institute (TIEI)

The programme will be delivered online for a fee of Rs 99,000 and is open to candidates from any educational background.

"Trading has a mass appeal and we have seen interest generating from professionals, housewives, students and retired professionals alike," said Mark Stowers, Educational Director, TIEI.

TIEI would provide training to small, mid and large scale brokerage firms also customising the course as per the company’s needs.

Going forward, the institute plans to tie up with educational institutions in India to provide training in financial markets training.

National Stock Exchange, Bombay Stock Exchange, Everonn Education and International Institute of Financial Markets also provide education in financial markets.

Everonn Education for instance charges Rs 1,00,000 for a 90 day course.
