Smartinvestor : Markets have come off their day highs after surging in early trades post encouraging Infosys' first quarter earnings. The Nifty also topped the 6,000 in early trades. What is your call on the Nifty for July options expiry?
Chetan Jain : Nifty after a strong pullback(5550-5900) in the starting of the July series went into consoildation phase(5750-5900) in last few trading sessions and now again has given a range breakout on upper side. Til lthe time it is holding well abovwe 5880-5900 levels chances market rallying towards 6100 is hiigher. One can buy 6100 call option for trading.
Smartinvestor : Idea is among the active stocks in the options segment today. The stock has been hovering around Rs 140 for the past few trading sessions. What is your take on the stock for July options expiry?
Chetan Jain : IDEA has been sustaining at higher levels with good accumulation seen on every decline and likley to give fresh breakout on hihger side. Option traders can go with Bull Call Spread of 145 and 150 call with risk of 2 points and reward of 3 points. Aggrevie traders can also buy plain vanila call option of 150 strike price @2.75 with limited risk and reward of double/tripple if stock gives a breakout.
