Wheat dara prices rose by Rs 20 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on fresh buying by flour mills to meet the upcoming marriage season demand.

However, bajra and jowar were down on adequate stocks positions against reduced industrial demand. In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1,155-1,160 per quintal.

Atta chakki delivery followed suit traded higher by Rs 25 to Rs 1,165-1,170 per 90 kg.

Atta flour mills, maida and sooji traded higher at Rs 650-670, Rs 740-780 and Rs 815-830, respectively, from previous levels of Rs 645-665, Rs 740-750 and Rs 800-815 per 50 kg in line with wheat trend.

Bajra fell by Rs 50 to Rs 950-960, while jowar yellow and white eased to Rs 920-1,000 and Rs 1750-1875 against last close of Rs 965-1,035 and Rs 1,775-1,875 per quintal, respectively.
