Wipro gains on hopes of Rs 1500-cr India Posts devices project

The stock hit a high of Rs 505, its highest level since April 2000, on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Wipro is trading higher by 3% at Rs 503 on reports that the information technology (IT) company is in race for Rs 1,500 crore India Posts devices project.

The stock opened at Rs 489 and touched high of Rs 505, also its highest level since April 2000, on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Wipro and HP have qualified for technical bids for supplying 1,30,000 handheld devices to Department of Posts (DoP). The vendor for this project as per DoP is expected to be finalised by end of this month, PTI reports suggests quoting a senior government official.
