The Ciaz variants, namedVxi (O) and Vdi (O), come fitted with safety features like dual airbags and Anti-lock braking system (ABS), seat belt pre-tensioners and force limiters and seat belt reminder with buzzer for driver side. "By offering the option of more safety equipment on our base variants, we want to encourage customers to buy cars that enhance their safety," Maruti Suzuki India, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, R S Kalsi said in a statement. Besides, all the features and attributes of Ciaz Vxi and Vdi, the "O" variants will be equipped with dual airbags, ABS and other safety features, he added.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is quite an accomplished sedan and has also become quite popular with buyers. Recently, the company has launched a hybrid version of the diesel variant called SHVS and is the most fuel-efficient car in the country, delivering an efficiency of 28.09 km/l. The new Ciaz variants will be sold through Maruti's Nexa showrooms.
