More than 100 policemen on duty along the Azadi March route in Islamabad fell ill after consuming unhygienic and stale food that was served to them by local administration.
According to The Nation, as many as 125 policemen from Azad Kashmir were hospitalized at Poly Clinic after they consumed unhygienic food that was served to them ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azadi March and PAT's Inquilab March in Islamabad, on Thursday.
Voicing their woes, the policemen said they were provided with stale food and had to spend the entire night under the open sky with bare minimum facilities.
As the number of those taken ill from food poisoning increased, the clinic administration said there was no more space available for other patients at the emergency ward.
