The controversial drama about teen suicide, '13 Reasons Why,' is all set to come back at Netflix.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, a source said that the online streaming giant is very close to a deal for the second season of '13 Reasons Why.'
Insider also told that a writer's room for the sophomore run has been up and running for a few weeks.
Netflix has not commented on this matter, till now.
Produced by actor-singer Selena Gomez, '13 Reasons Why' centres on a 17-year-old high school student Hannah Baker who dies by suicide, leaving behind 13 cassette tapes for 13 different people she felt were instrumental in her decision to take her own life.
The series is an adaptation of the 2007 novel by Jay Asher.
Recently, the hit series has been a subject for debate from TV critics and many suicide prevention groups for its graphic portrayal of Hannah's suicide.
Netflix did defend the series and issued a statement to ABC news which read, "From the onset of work on 13 Reasons Why, we have been mindful both of the show's intense themes and the intended audience."
Despite this, '13 Reasons Why' has proved to be a critical success as well as with the public.
