One Direction's Liam Payne's recently spilled the beans on Zayn Malik's shock departure, saying that the pop boy band was never his kind of bag.

During his appearance on Good Morning Britain, the 22-year-old singer, alongside band member Louis Tomlinson, said that the 'You & I' hit-maker's music taste is bit different, adding that one of the reasons he left the band was its music, E! Online reports.

The 'Night Changes' hit-maker added, "Everyone's come out fine from it, thanks to our beautiful fans. He's off doing what he loves as well.

He further said that "both parties are winners in the end of a disaster of a situation. So, it's all good."

Earlier in March, Malik quit the pop band saying he wanted to be a 'normal 22-year-old.
