Cate Blanchett, who has won two Academy Awards, will be part of the prestigious event again, however, as an award presenter and not as a nominee.
The 45-year-old actress will be announcing the name of the Lead Actor winner at the Oscars this year, Deadline.com reported.
The Australian actress won the Best Actress Academy award for her Supporting role as Katharine Hepburn in Martin Scorsese's 'The Aviator' in 2004.
Blanchett starred as Jeanette 'Jasmine' Francis in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2014.
Blanchett is one of only six actresses to win Academy Awards in both leading and supporting acting categories and the only Australian to win two acting Oscars.
