41 killed in plane crash in South Sudan

At least 41 people have been killed as a Russian-built cargo plane crashed in South Sudan on Wednesday.

A crew member and a child passenger are the only survivors of the crash.

The plane crashed few minutes after taking off from the airport in South Sudan's capital, Juba.

Presidential spokesman Ateny Wek Ateny told Reuters that the plane had over 20 people on board including the crew members. The other victims were killed when the plane crashed.

However the death toll is still being collated.
