The Government on Wednesday said that 2,500 officials from police districts and equal number from Traffic department will be deployed across Delhi tomorrow on the occasion of Holi to prevent any incident of hooliganism.
Quick Response Teams have also been deployed at strategic points to deal with any untoward incident and the PCR wing will also be on its toes to take distress calls.
"There would be maximum deployment of traffic police on roads tomorrow, PCRs and Delhi police will be patrolling the streets," said Muktesh Chander, Special Commissioner, Traffic Police.
"All our senior officials will be in field. Those who violate traffic rules will not at all be spared," Chander added.
The police has also vouched for tranquillity in the national capital and appealed to people not to harass anyone by causing any kind of nuisance at any public space.
