At least six Islamic State (IS) militants were killed and four others were injured as the infighting among the Taliban and IS has spread to eastern Laghman province.
According to the Tolo News, the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan army in the East said that the latest clashes broke out in Khogyani district.
The officials confirmed the death of six IS militants and four others wounded.
Eight Taliban insurgents were also wounded, the officials further said.
Meanwhile, the Silab Corps officials said two Taliban group leaders were killed in a separate clash in district of Laghman.
No group has commented on the incident so far.
