Six people were killed after a truck that was allegedly overspeeding hit a taxi on Sunday night in Ashoknagar district.
The deceased were on their way back from a wedding when the incident took place, their families said.
The truck driver fled from the accident spot after the incident.
It has been reported that he was identified with the help of CCTV footage near a checkpoint.
