With the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) completing 49 days of its second innings in power, Communist Party of India leader Atul Anjan on Saturday said the party is only known for its internal rifts and not for their governance.

"AAP is not known for their work in the country, they are known for their internal rifts," Atul Anjan told ANI here.

"Delhi has three mayors but, the garbage in Delhi has increased and now this garbage in turning into political garbage," he added.

Anjan also took a dig at the AAP's claims of internal democracy; saying the party's Lokpal has been turned into 'Dwarpal' and brotherhood between AAP leaders is over.

The Aam Aadmi Party, which got a historic mandate in the Delhi assembly polls in February, has not been able to keep away from chaos in its first 49 days in power.

The party last month removed founding members Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan from the National Executive, and prevented Admiral (retired) L. Ramdas from performing his role as the party's internal Lokpal.

The AAP also removed Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha from the national executive.

The party's internal rift had widened after Yadav and Bhushan were accused of working for party's defeat during the assembly polls.

The duo had raised a banner of revolt accusing the party leadership of stifling inner-party democracy and compromising on the principles on which it was formed.
