Abducted Manipuri drivers released in Assam

Four Manipuri truck drivers, who were abducted on May 28th from Ambarjan in Assam, were recently released near Silchar.

The drivers were received by family members and officials of the All Manipur Road Transport Drivers' and Motor Workers' Union.

The released drivers revealed that they were abducted by four armed men for a ransom of Rs. 30 lakhs when they were on their way to Imphal from Guwahati.
