Adam Scott will be joining the cast of Whitey Bulger based crime drama 'Black Mass' which already stars Johnny Depp in the lead.
The Warner Bros. and Cross Creek Pictures' film, which will be helmed by Scott Cooper, will see the 41-year-old actor take the role of an FBI agent named Robert Fitzpatrick, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
The film will focus on the South Boston criminal mastermind, who was sentenced in November to two consecutive life terms plus five years after being found guilty on 31 counts of racketeering, money laundering, extortion and weapons charges.
The project which is currently shooting in Boston also stars Joel Edgerton, Dakota Johnson, Juno Temple and Jesse Plemons with Benedict Cumberbatch, who is in talks to replace Guy Pearce as Whitey's brother.
