German sportswear maker Adidas has said that it would continue to work with Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez despite his four-month from all football-related activity for biting a World Cup opponent

Adidas boss Herbert Hainer said that the company would continue to work with the striker, but would talk with him and his management about what they expect of him on and off the pitch.

Hainer also hailed Suarez as one of the best strikers in the world and said that it is not for nothing that Barcelona put the striker under contract, Sport24 reported.

However, Hainer added that Suarez's behaviour in the match against Italy was not acceptable, and that is the reason why the FIFA penalty is justified and one cannot sugarcoat or tolerate it.

Adidas had in late June announced that it would stop using Suarez in its adverts following FIFA ruling out a four-month ban from football activities for the striker for biting Italian Giorgio Chiellini.

FIFA banned Suarez for nine internationals and from football for four months and also fined him 1,00,000 Swiss francs, the report added.
