The Afghanistan lawmakers urged the government to move the United States Security Council against Pakistan for a recent border violation, Afghanistan news agency Pajhwok reported.
According to the report, Pakistani border forces started shelling at Afghan border police forces in Luqman village of Spin Boldak district on Friday morning after Afghan forces did not allow a Pakistani census team to conduct the census in the village.
The 12-hour-long skirmish left one Afghan solider and four civilians dead and 46 people including 14 Afghan soldiers wounded.
Lawmaker Rahmatullah Asakzai, Meshrano said the people and government of Afghanistan should decide about Pakistan because Friday's incident was not the first of its kind.
Female Senate member Najiba Hussaini and Senate chairman Fazal Hadi Muslimyar called on the government to lodge a complaint against Pakistan with the United Nations over interventions in Afghanistan.
