The original Flappy Bird isn't coming back. Ever. But, a maker has reportedly developed a new 'real-life version' of the addictive game, after a series of clones failed to make an impression on game lovers.

Maker Fawn Qiu has made a playable real-world version of the defunct game, in which a scrolling background with two controls move the bird up and down in a box and if a player loses, the box lid closes on them and plays a 'game over' sound.

According to Cnet, the real-life version is as difficult as the digital version and instead of the tap and play, users have to physically move the bird on a stick.

Qiu has built it with an Arduino prototyping board, three motors, a magnet sensor, and an old cardboard box.

She said that creating a physical game makes the playing experience more approachable and it is no longer just one player and the phone, but people around you are also aware of the game, which invites collaboration and curiosity, the report added.
