Actor Alec Baldwin, who was arrested for allegedly assaulting a rival at a parking spot in New York City, was released from custody.
The alleged altercation took place on Friday at W 10th Street between University and Broadway, after which the 49-year-old victim, who complained of pain, was taken to a nearby hospital.
Baldwin came out of the police station and didn't utter a word to the barrage of questions hurled at him by the journalists.
Page Six reported that he avoided questions when he was asked about the example he is setting for his children to follow because of his alleged temper.
Ten minutes after meeting his family nanny, he got into his car and left.
After he was arrested, 'The Alec Baldwin Show' star took to Twitter to 'clarify' that the "assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false."
"Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today's story. However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false," Baldwin tweeted
The actor will now have to appear in the court because of the alleged charges of misdemeanour assault and harassment against him.
