Aleix Vidal produced a scintillating performance on Thursday night as defending champions Sevilla claimed a dominating 3-0 win over Fiorentina in their Europa League semifinal first-leg tie.
Vidal put Sevilla ahead in the 17th minute following a pass from Carlos Bacca. The Spaniard doubled the lead shortly after the break to put the hosts in a commanding position.
Subsequently, Kevin Gameiro added a third 28 seconds after coming off the bench, the BBC reported.
Sevilla, who bagged the title in 2006 and 2007, will meet the Italian club again in Florence next Thursday in their second-leg tie.
