A notorious criminal, Sachin, sustained bullet injuries, during an exchange of fire with the police force in Aligarh on Tuesday.
Sachin had a bounty of Rs. 5,000 over his head.
The encounter took place under P.S. Gandhi Park, District Aligarh last evening at around 8.10 p.m., after which he was taken to the district hospital.
The ornaments looted in the house robberies have been recovered from the accused.
The criminal, hailing from Jahangirbad, Bulandshahr, was wanted in two house robbery cases of Aligarh. He had around ten cases against him, mainly of loot and dacoity.
