The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday fired a fresh salvo at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said the arrest of its MLA Amanatullah Khan shows the Centre's hatred towards Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
AAP leader Dilip Pandey said the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre is not able to confront its opponents politically, adding that this is the reason for the ruling dispensation to resort to such lows.
"Yesterday, we uploaded a video through which we disclosed that this case is false. The woman complainant has in that video accepted that she made false allegations after being pressurised by the police. Still Amanatullah Khan sahib has been arrested, this shows how coward is Prime Minister Narendra Modi," said Pandey.
"When he (PM Modi) is not able to address his opponents politically, they resort to such lows. It is out in the open now that PM Modi ji has no issues with anyone else but Arvind kejriwal ji," he added.
The Delhi Police earlier today arrested Khan, who was booked for allegedly threatening a woman with dire consequences.
