Amanda Bynes won't be prosecuted for DUI but faces probation review

Amanda Bynes has avoided another legal bullet after Los Angeles police officials decided not to prosecute her over her September 2014 arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) of Adderall, but may still face prison.

The 28-year-old former child star, who has not been seen in public since November, will not be prosecuted because her Adderall level was not that high during the time of her arrest, TMZ.com reported.

A source said that the City Attorney doesn't think he can sell the case to a jury because she had a relatively low level of the drug in her bloodstream, but the City Attorney has referred the matter to the D.A., because driving with any Adderall in her system could constitute a probation violation.

The 'She's the Man' star, who was convicted of a DUI in 2012 for driving under the influence, is still under probation and the DA could try to revoke her probation, and she could be thrown in jail as a result, but considering Bynes has mental health issues, she may not be locked up.
