According to an analysis by Nielsen researchers, teenagers in the United States continue to prefer reading print over e-books despite their tech-savvy reputation.

While 20 percent of teens purchase e-books, 25 percent of 30-44 year olds and 23 percent of 18-29 year olds buy digital copies, said the report.

More than half of the teens still look for books on library or bookstore shelves, according to the report.

The lack of interest for e-books amongst teens seems to be at odds with their perceived digital know-how, reported TechCrunch.

The reason behind this could be that teenagers do not have the required credit cards to purchase e-books unlike adults.
