The much anticipated bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is set to showcase in May but an American television network is working on a four-part docu-series for the fight of the millennium, which would premier in April.

Showtime is preparing for the richest bout in sport's history with a docu-series entitled 'Inside Mayweather vs. Pacquiao', which they would premiere on April 18, almost a month before the actual showdown in the ring takes place.

The series would follow undefeated US boxing champion Mayweather as he prepares for his long-anticipated faceoff with Pacquiao, because the television network has an exclusive deal with the American boxer, Deadline.com reported.

Pacquiao won't be covered in the series. Showtime would also share the May 2 PPV brawl with archrival HBO, which has a deal with the Filipino boxer and politician.

HBO has not announced any supplemental programming in advance of the welterweight championship unification match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The fight is certain to be the biggest grosser of all time, with reports suggesting that fans might have to shell out a record 89.95 dollars to buy the PPV, and another 10 dollars for HD.

With the first show of the docu-series to air on April 12, the second and third installments of Inside Mayweather vs. Pacquiao would premiere April 25 and 29, respectively, and the epilogue would air on May 9, a week after the fight, the report added.
